How to Request Account Deletion

We provide a simple way for users to request the permanent deletion of their account and all associated personal information. You can request deletion in two ways:

Method 1: In-App Request (Recommended)

If you have the app installed, you can request deletion directly from the settings panel:

• Open the Meghwal Setu application.
• Log in to your account.
• Go to Settings -> Delete Account.
• Confirm your request. Your data removal will start automatically.

Method 2: Email Request (For logged-out users / web requests)

If you have already uninstalled the app or cannot log in, you can request deletion by sending an email to our support team:

• Email Address: meghwalsetu.app@gmail.com
• Email Subject: Request for Account & Data Deletion – Meghwal Setu
• Required Info: Please include your registered name and the registered phone number / email address used during sign-in.

Data Deletion Details

Upon receiving your deletion request, the following information will be permanently removed from our Firebase backend:

• Account Identity: Your registered profile name, email, profile photo, and Firebase UID.
• Authentication Data: Your login credentials from Firebase Authentication.
• Profile Logs: Your location preferences (District, Taluka, Village) and AI Assistant usage query logs.
• UGC Content: Any news, job, or business postings submitted by you (unless required to be preserved under statutory compliance).
